Map data & licences

Every source the RidgeLink map draws from, and the licence it is used under.

RidgeLink does not own this data. It comes from public agencies and open projects, each of which asks to be credited, and several of which require it as a condition of use. If we have credited something incorrectly, or missed a source, tell us at support@ridgelink.app and we will correct it.

Trails — Canada

Club trail networks in Québec require a trail permit from the federation that grooms them, and many cross private land under agreements between the club and the landowner. These lines are centrelines: they are not grooming status, and they are not permission to ride.

Land ownership and public land

Water, weather and snow

Snow stations are a network of specific sites, not a nationwide grid. There are none in Michigan, Minnesota or Wisconsin, and none east of the Dakotas.
